Spot the difference?

This is what happens when 2 chairs meet.

Today I popped into Boscombe with a friend. We were walking through the high street when this drop dead gorgeous hunk on legs stopped us to ask if we'd consider giving just £6 a month to charity. We got chatting to him and I asked him why he was wearing a woolly hat in the blazing hot sun. So he took it off. Well, one look at him with his hat off and that was it, we came over all of a quiver. I tried to get a picture for you but he was a bit camera shy. Anyway his name is Dave. We met some of his friends too.

This is the aptly named Romeo. For £6 a month he will get his kit off. In fact he actually started taking things off there and then and had we not pointed out that we were in quite a public place he'd have had the lot off! A very naughty boy and definitely one to keep an eye on at all times.

This is Mitch. For the bargain price of £6 a month Mitch said he'd take me to the pub and buy me a pint.

I owe this lovely lady an apology. I'm very sorry but with all the excitement I've forgotten your name. I know it begins with an S so I'll just call you Miss S. Anyway for £6 a month this lady will offer you a lock of her hair and lovely hair it is too.
So the question is who would I give £6 a month to?

I'm afraid Mitch wins. If I had £6 a month spare I'd give it to him. Not only did he offer to buy me a pint down the pub but he also offered to get my name tattooed on his body. That of course prompted me to ask whether or not he had any tattoos. He did not need any persuasion to strip off in the middle of Boscombe to show me and was more than happy for me to photograph them. I then showed him mine and he said it was cute. So he wins.

I was absolutely devastated on Monday when I managed to lose my beloved shopping trolley. I was rushing to get to my home education group meeting and I left it on the bus. I was ringing the bus company all morning but kept getting a recorded message saying they couldn't take my call. I went down to their office but it was closed and then I found Sandi (with an i) and she took my number and said she'd call if it turned up. I honestly didn't think I'd ever get it back but she rang the next day to say it had been handed in. And with a bit of gentle persuasion she even agreed to pose for a picture. I'm very happy and I owe it all to Sandi. Thanks.

As I only have 1 child until tomorrow night I decided that Levi could invite Joseph for a sleep over. We went to pick him up and while I was there I gave Lisa (on the right) and Ben a hand stuffing envelopes for their forthcoming election campaign. As you can see Ben even managed a smile for the camera (a very rare occurrence).

I then took the boys in to Bournemouth as Bournemouth Rotaract wanted volunteers to help them try and break the world record for the largest number of kites flown in the air at the same time. As it was very hot I bought the children an ice cream from Thornton's which they thoroughly enjoyed and managed to plaster all over themselves. We walked down to the beach where we were given our kites and the boys had a lovely time running around with them. The world record was 786 kites flown at the same time and we beat it by 140.

Chloe and Julie came for lunch today (why are my friends always late?), then Lisa turned up with my Liberal Democrat posters which went straight in my window. Around 4pm Lisa decided she wanted to go looking for an outfit to wear when she meets Gordon Brown. The children were getting a bit bored so I decided to take them down to Borders to look at the books. The 3 eldest went and sat down and Reuben and Monty found some giant books which we started to read. As I was reading a teenage girl aged about 14/15 sat down and started listening, one by one her 3 friends joined her. I carried on reading as several women and children came and sat down too. By the time Chloe and Lisa arrived the children's section was full of people listening to me read. Levi of course found the whole episode quite embarrasing.

I had today all planned out, Sakina (Devout Muslim) and her son were coming to visit this morning, Lucy (Devout Christian) and her daughter were popping in at 1.30 and Julie (Jesus Army) with her 2 children and Lisa (Liberal democrat) with her 4 children were all due at 2.30. I'd planned it so they wouldn't all be there at the same time as I wasn't sure how they'd all get on. But Sakina didn't arrive until 2, Lucy at 2.15 and everyone else at 2.30. Although the atmosphere was a bit strained at times, it wasn't too bad. The children spent the day making a tee pee in the garden, running around with sticks, drinking fizzy pop and eating tonnes of food.
